UsSteven and I have a unique relationship. We share many common interests, including the arts and theatre, a love of the outdoors, and a love of baseball. We have been season ticket holders at The Brockton Rox for going on three years now. I am still waiting to be taken to a hockey game.

We also attend concerts when time and money allows. We enjoy a lot of the same music and have been lucky enough to see many of the bands we both enjoy several times. We have also been lucky enough to see some of my favourite musicals several times, as well.

Since neither of us could remember when, exactly, we started dating, we celebrate our anniversary on Tax Day, which is also my grandfather's birthday. Rather than celebrate in standard fashion, we often head into Chinatown for dinner and then to Fort Point Channel to watch everyone scramble to do their last minute taxes.

Steven's offical propsal came on April 30th, 2006. Though unofficially engaged for more than a year, Steven wanted to ask, but also to wait for the right moment. As it turns out, the right moment was at the Museum of Science and involved some planning. He purchased tickets online, but found out that the Millennium Falcon exhibit was sold out. We were both disappointed, but I suggested he call in the morning to see if they added any shows. Later in the afternoon, he told me he had been able to get tickets for the 9pm show. We had a nice dinner in the North End and headed to the Museum. The exhibit was great, we bought souvenirs, and then headed down to see the show. I was surprised that we were the only people in line, but it was getting late. We watched the presentation and, at the very end, Steven nudged me. I looked over and he asked me if I wanted to be his wife. I, of course, said yes! When we exited, the staff was all there waiting to congratuate us and take pictures.

After, I met Emily, who it turns Steven had been on the phone with on and off all day. He had called and told Emily he wanted to propose to me on the Millenium Falcon, but all the shows were sold out. She set up a show for us just so he could ask me to marry him! It was definitely a unique and very sweet propsal.

After the wedding, Steven and I plan to continue to reside in Weymouth, where we have lived since 2004. We hope to be able to buy a house within the next couple years, hopefully near the shore in North Weymouth.
